Heading West

Tues 8th Dec

Today we cycled in glorious sunshine through huge valleys with views of rivers, mountains and forests to Murchison. We're camping at a lovely site right next to the river, which we've just been swimming in.

We're taking our time as we have 2 weeks to get to Akaroa, where we will be spending Christmas.

You'll be in Chistchurch in two weeks??? Me two!
It's funny: I've done exactly the same as you for Takata hill!
Actually I'm in Oamaru going soon to mont Cook.
I just come from the central Ontago rail trail: for me it was the best experience of south island. If you go there don't miss the side road to Barthan's (you can camp in front of the blue lake). The cycling day between Dunedin and Middlemarch was one of the hardest I had since the begining and maybe the hardest of south island but also with the most bautiful scenery with Haast-Wanaka.
Crazy your picture with the dolphin!
Wish to see you soon,
Estelle

Mo and Dale

I think everybody seems to have the same idea to meet up in Christchurch. We are here and loving it, exploring/walking different parts of the 'Banks' each day at the moment. Please see email i have sent you.
