Dargaville

after 5 days of cycling we are having a day off in Dargaville a small town in the Northland of NZ

Its got most things we need and a chance to catch up on washing and sleeping

the also don't like possums around here as the road sign above will testify!!

they also grow a lot of sweet potatoes round here (kumara)and seem very proud of the fact.the roads are very like lincolnshire with loads of flat open roads and a mean head wind ;-)

Sun has shined all day maybe spring is really here?

Hi Guys.
Welcome to NZ. Sorry about the weather, but it should get better. Glad to see you have finding the small roads sussed. As you can see we are home from Europe but are away again till the 24th or so of November.
The offer to stay still stands and we have a spare room for you to use unless you would rather use the tent. We live half way between Rotorua and Taupo on our farm. We can show you around the free and cheap local geaothermal attractions if you like as well. Don't worry about meals we have freezer and pantry full of food. Bottle of wine would be nice tho.
You can contact us on brownbs@orcon.net.nz or 0211742147.
Would love to see you.
Take care Brian NZ & Sue

Hi Brian

You guys are away more than we are ;-). Thanks for the very generous offer and we will definitely take you up on it although it may be after christmas now before we are back around your way. NZ is absolutely fabulous and roads and drivers aren't as crazy as everybody claimed they would be, well not yet anyway.

HAve a great time where ever you are going and we'll catch up with you soon.

cheers

Nick and Jeanette
